  • you’re stuck imagining how your project can and should turn out.

  • you’re unsure where to publish your digital media project.

  • you’re interested in experimenting in your publishing and also want the work to “count.”

  • you’re looking for a live, 3-hour workshop experience where you can learn about and apply the basics to your own project ideas while getting general feedback from me and others in the workshop.

What To Expect at KairosCamp-Lite

Format & Focus

In this live 3-hour workshop, I will walk a small group of participants through a set of foundational questions to ask of their own projects, including how to successfully

  • create research questions appropriate for digital projects,

  • refine your project scope,

  • collect or code digital assets,

  • choose sustainable technological infrastructures,

  • design for your intended audience,

  • decide where to publish,

  • prepare for peer review and hiring/T&P issues,

  • make your project accessible,

  • find collaborative partners, and

  • create a design-plan or proposal for ensuring the sustainability and success of your project after the workshop ends.

With real-world examples to talk through and time for Q&A about their own projects, KairosCamp-Lite participants will leave the workshop with a plan for refining their argument and asset collection and writing or revising a proposal, work plan, or project on their own time.
